I Turned Nineteen!

Flowers my studio gave me after the show

June 6th, 2016

Hello Hello Hello!

On June 1st it was my birthday and I am officially 19! Now I know nineteen may not seem that great, but I am now legal everywhere in Canada and coming from a Canadian family, that’s a big deal. My Wednesday started out great. I slept in till about ten, made coffee and just hung out with my cat. Eventually did have to get to work. So I went to my office job and did all my boring paperwork and what not. THEN I went over to my studio for a rehearsal and it was amazing. My entire studio sang happy birthday. Normally I would hate it, but when it’s your students doing it, it’s the greatest feeling in the world.

After work I headed out to a local hotel with my mom and sister and had the best dinner ever. This was actually my first time having lobster and holy mother of crustaceans is it incredible. If you have never had it you need to! It’s better than crab and shrimp combined. Although I also had shrimp cocktail as well which was so good. Now, I’m from the Pacific Northwest and seafood is very important to me so I was quite picky. Yet, this was some of the best seafood I had ever had in inland California. Almost as good as Bubba Gump, but not quite.

the best meal ever

I had the best evening and as my birthday was sort of overshadowed by my graduation last year it was so nice to just celebrate it and have fun. I don’t get to spend a lot of time with just my mom and sister so having them take me to dinner was really nice.

I did get a cappuccino maker as a gift which was so thoughtful of my family. Although I think my coffee obsession is slowly growing…whoops. I’ve also used some of my money to buy some new books thus a new book haul will becoming as soon as they arrive!

Well this was just a quick little post! I gotta get back to doing nothing productive!
