Hello Hello Hello!
The answer is simple really. The reason we tend to relapse into these eight movies is because they remind us how incredible they are! I am currently on the fourth on and I have so much more to watch! I tend to do this once in a while. I don’t think anyone can get sick of these enchanting films
What’s you favorite film? Mine is Prisoner of Azkaban. Why? Well because it is the only film in which Voldemort doesn’t decide to intervene and try to kill him. He is talked about and is the reason for a lot of the events that happen, but it’s minimal!
Also in the third movie, Sirius Black is introduced and he is one of my favorite characters. Of course not as exciting as Luna, but a close second!
I grew up reading the books and watching the movie. One of the most prevalent memories I have of the movies was when I was seeing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 in theaters. People of all ages were seated in the small theater and were cheering and crying and enjoying every second of it. At the end, when the credits finally started to roll, a young man behind me sadly sighed and said, “Well there goes my childhood.” How sad is that!?
I just wanted to turn around and give him a hug! These films brought out the inner child in everyone. I was fifteen when the last movie came out and I can guarantee that my children will be shown these films and given the books!
Whether you believe in magic or not, you cannot deny that these movies mix reality and fantasy so well that perhaps the thought of flying broomsticks, dragons, and talking snakes doesn’t seem so obscure.
Although that could just be the writer inside me talking, but who knows?
The next time you feel uninspired or just a little down, pop one of these in and enjoy the wizarding world of Harry Potter!
